Master Chao Xian​ (MiaoYi)​​

Venerable Master Chao-Hsien focuses on Chan (Zen) meditation,  toward Pure Land practice. 

 

The Venerable Master guides beginners in the practice of the Śūraṅgama Mantra, leading followers to chant sutras, perform ceremonies, and practice meditation to eliminate karmic obstacles and accumulate merit. With a compassionate vow to guide all beings with a karmic affinity, the Master seeks to bring peace to their spirits and purify the surrounding environment.

The Venerable’s Vows are dedicated to:

1. Those suffering from depression;

2. Unborn spirits (the souls of the aborted or miscarried);

3. All sentient beings who have lost their lives at Beachy Head;

4. All beings within the Dharma Realm with whom we share a karmic bond.

 

May they be free from suffering, attain peace and joy, and together realize Supreme Enlightenment (Bodhi).

 

Each day, the Venerable performs Light Offerings and Sang Pūjā (Cleansing Smoke Offering), dedicating all merits to guide those with a karmic connection and to bless and purify the local land.
